Delia is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert. She has been an educator for thirteen years with a passion in science and technology integration. She has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a STEM Endorsement from Weber State University. Her primary focus is integrating STEM into her daily instruction. Delia works diligently to promote STEM nationally and frequently provides professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers state-wide.
She was honored by the Utah Science Teacher Association (UtSTA) as the Outstanding Elementary Educator in 2013. She was the Elementary Board Representative for the UtSTA from 2014 - 2017. She was awarded the 2019 Best of Davis, which is given to the top educators in Davis School District. Delia also spearheaded the start up of two after school STEM elementary programs in Davis School District.
Delia has presented at the district, state, and national level. Most recently shared her knowledge of Microsoft tools, at the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) 2020, the 2019 Fall Computer-Using Educators (CUE) Conference, 2018 Davis Summer Institute, 2018 Davis Technology Conference, and the 2019 Utah Science Teacher Association (UtSTA) Conference.
Most recently, selected to attend the 2020 Microsoft Global Educator Exchange and represent the USA in Sydney, Australia as part of the #USAE2CREW March 23-27, 2020.
