Vision Statement

MESA provides students with the essential skills and resources to achieve success in school, career, life and STEM-related disciplines. MESA welcomes all students and actively recruits ethnic minorities and females as they are often underrepresented in STEM fields such as computer science and engineering.  MESA mobilizes and aligns the resources of diverse educational institutions, industry and other partners to create and implement an integrated program that maximizes impact and outcomes. 


Advisor Information


Delia is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.  She has been an educator for eleven years with a passion in science and technology integration.  She has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a STEM Endorsement from Weber State University.   Her primary focus is integrating STEM into her daily instruction.  Delia works diligently to promote STEM nationally and frequently provides professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers state-wide.

​     She was honored by the Utah Science Teacher Association (UtSTA) as the Outstanding Elementary Educator in 2013. She was the Elementary Board Representative for the UtSTA from 2014 - 2017.  Delia also spearheaded the start up of two after school STEM elementary programs in Davis School District.

     Delia will present at the UtSTA Conference on February 8, 2019.

The MESA club meetings will be be held from 3PM - 4PM on Mondays in Room D27 (Mrs. Bayna's Classroom.
